Bridgetown Realty recently earned certification by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). The NGLCC’s Supplier Diversity Initiative certifies LGBT-owned businesses and facilitates business-to-business relationships with the nation’s top corporations.
Led by Principal Broker-Owners Deborah Betron and Mark Hardy, Bridgetown Realty has been an independent, locally-owned real estate brokerage since 1979. Since its earliest days, Bridgetown Realty has been a leader in the Portland LGBT community. In addition to starting Bridgetown Realty, Betron was one of the founders of the Portland Area Business Association (PABA), the LGBT chamber of commerce for the greater Portland area. In addition, throughout the 1980s and well into the 1990s, Bridgetown Realty was the first and only real estate brokerage to advertise in local LGBT publications.
“While Bridgetown Realty has always been a top destination for the local LGBT real estate consumer, NGLCC certification opens doors for us to work with major corporations looking to strengthen their diversity,” explains Betron. “We can especially help companies with relocation of gay and lesbian employees who desire to work with an agent who understands our unique concerns. We can be their link to the Portland LGBT community.”
