This week, Just Out and Q Center announced a strategic partnership to work together for the betterment of Oregon’s LGBTQ community. This partnership will increase awareness to the resources and programs available at Q Center.
Barbara McCullough-Jones, Executive Director at Q Center said, “We are thrilled to partner with Just Out. Q Center is a critical resource for the Pacific Northwest’s LGBTQ community and we look to increase – awareness of the services and programs that we offer by partnering with Just Out.”
“Our business experience and reach to the LGBTQ community will be especially beneficial to LGBTQ and allied small businesses participating in Q Center’s Q Means Business program. In addition, by offering advertising discounts to Q Means Business members, we can help these businesses reach more customers in a cost effective way,” said Jonathan Kipp, publisher of Just Out.
Q Center offers programs and services in four core program areas: Health & Wellness, Education & Training, Arts & Culture, and Advocacy
Q Center is a multigenerational community center that provides programs and services to the LGBTQ and allied community. Q Center’s mission is to provide a safe space to support and celebrate LGBTQ diversity, visibility and community building.
Just Out, Oregon’s oldest LGBTQ publication, was purchased earlier this year by Glenn-Kipp Publishing, Inc. It is a monthly, glossy, all-color magazine featuring character-driven editorial, compelling photography, entertainment and news for the area’s LGBTQ community and their straight allies. In 2013, Just Out will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
