Neighborhood Oriented
Community members who serve their neighbors and their neighborhoods in the areas of crime prevention or emergency preparedness will be publicly recognized for their hours of volunteer service at this year's Ready. Safe. Go. Training and Recognition Event on Saturday, April 28, at Portland Community College's Sylvania Campus.
Child Sexual Predator Awareness, Domestic Violence in the Neighborhood, and Preventing Crime in Parks are a few of the classes being offered to Portlanders interested in crime prevention during the training component of Ready. Safe. Go. Classes will also be offered in emergency preparedness. Everyone is welcome to attend, and there is no charge. Interested residents must register by Thursday, April 5.
