Homo’s Got Talent

Kaj-Anne Pepper and crew took home the title 2 years ago in 2010.

The 4th Annual Dance off competition to determine Portland’s top homo, Homo’s Got Talent, is back this Friday at the Fez and I’ll be there in the judges booth. I’ll be joined by reigning make-up and Facebook Queen/King Melody Awesomazing and critically acclaimed film director David Weissman. (Pretty excited about that one. In case you don’t know, he directed the much lauded We Were Here, about the early days of the AIDS crisis that was a Sundance official selection and headlined the Portland Lesbian and Gay Film Festival among many others.)

Past winners have channeled/critiqued Lady Gaga, writhed their half-clothed bodies in food, and so much more. So be prepared to get messy and bring it dancing queens because I may look baby-faced and nice but I’ll be plenty snarky about the dance moves and the less-than-judicious use of glitter. And you don’t you want to see that?

Friday, May 4th
